Empowered to Change International
Empowering the broken to heal, the voiceless to speak, and communities to come together.
We believe all people have hope and the ability to live free from abuses of any kind, and can learn to be productive, engaged assets of their community. Our goal is to launch individuals into self-sufficiency, using their voice and empowering others.
We are a nonprofit based in Largo, Florida, providing safe housing and recovery programs across Pinellas County and the wider Tampa Bay area.
What we do
Our programs
Safe Housing
Essential support in a safe, clean home: meals, clothing, mentoring, life and job coaching, and financial education, with a zero-tolerance substance policy.
For the One
A customized program for individuals coming from foster care, sex trafficking, substance abuse, homelessness, domestic violence, or the justice system.
Operation Rebuild
Transitional housing and support for people re-entering the community after incarceration.
Generational Change
A faith-based mentorship and discipleship partnership with local churches.
Moral Reconation Therapy
Cognitive-based therapy groups addressing substance abuse, domestic violence, trauma, and life skills.
Advocacy
Work toward criminal justice reform, second chances, and the restoration of rights.
For people in the program
The Empowered to Change app
Participants use the Empowered to Change app to complete their daily check-in, see their schedule and treatment appointments, confirm attendance at meetings, report a maintenance issue at their house, and send requests to their case manager.
Accounts are created by ETC staff. There is no public sign-up, and the app cannot be used without an account issued by the program. If you are in the program and need an account, contact your case manager.
